Full engine depollution process

One of the more complex parts to recycle is the engine, as it has many components which need to be handled with care. Our knowledgeable staff remove the engine from the vehicle, and separate out the higher-value metals first, such as the heavy steel frame which holds the engine in place. Then we carry out the vehicle depollution process of draining oil, fuel and other hazardous liquids from the engine.

The smaller components, like compressors, parts of the ignition system, and alternators, can be reused, so they are valuable and will also be carefully extracted. Our aim is to use and recycle as much of the vehicle as possible, so we slowly break down the engine into small parts to make use of each one, unlike most autocentres which simply crush and strip the vehicle.
